The All-Alabama Academic Team recognition program was founded in 1995 to complete the All-USA Academic Team Program that is sponsored by USA Today, Phi-Theta Kappa Honor Society, and the American Association of Community Colleges. The purpose of this program is to provide statewide recognition to outstanding two-year college students based on demonstrated academic excellence and intellectual rigor, leadership and service, and for a commitment to extend their education beyond the classroom to benefit society. Central Alabama Community College selects two students annually for this recognition. To be considered, students must possess a minimum grade point average of 3.5, be involved in campus activities, and have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours at Central Alabama Community College.
